From the base stations, the local cableways take just 7 to 10 minutes to the resorts of Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp on the car-free plateau. Connections are good.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Getting here&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;from Suisse romande:<\/strong> via the A9 from Lake Geneva (follow signs for Brig \u2013 Furka)<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;from Italy:<\/strong> over the Simplon Pass, open all year round, or with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbb.ch\/en\/station-services\/auto-velo\/car-trains\/car-train-simplon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brig \u2013 Iselle car train<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;from Germany:<\/strong> via Basel \u2013 Bern \u2013 Thun \u2013 Kandersteg (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bls.ch\/e\/autoverlad\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">L\u00f6tschberg car train<\/a>) \u2013 Goppenstein \u2013 Brig, continue on towards Furka; alternatively via Zurich \u2013 heading for Gotthard \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matterhorngotthardbahn.ch\/en\/winter\/journey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Furka car train<\/a> (Realp \u2013 Oberwald), and continue through Goms towards Brig;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Check the road reports and conditions before starting your journey.
